Grease-B-Gone®
Makes the “Plumber Be Gone” at Ford
Motor Company |
| |
| Ford
Motor Company estimated
that they were calling in a sludge removal company at least twice a year
to clear out the traps. |
| |
| The
Problem |
| At
Ford Motor Company’s warehouse in Brownstown, Michigan, a clogged
grease trap in the kitchen area was a frequent problem. Although a common
problem in high traffic kitchens/cafeterias, the grease trap became so
clogged that it had to be manually shoveled out several times a year to
restore a free-flowing drain. |
| |
| The
Solution |
| With
assistance from a State sales associate, Ford Motor Co. installed
an electronic pump that connects a drum of State Grease-B-Gone to the
grease trap in the kitchen.
Every evening, the pump dispenses a pre-determined amount of State
Grease-B-Gone into the trap, where it penetrates grease and sludge.
By morning, the grease and sludge are flushed down the drain…and
the kitchen is ready for business. |

Results |
| Shoveling
out grease traps is all in the past at the Ford Motor Company
warehouse..
“State
Grease-B-Gone has minimized our cost in calling in a contractor. A
minimum charge for each service call is about $500, so
State Grease-B-Gone is really saving us money. We have not had to
call in a sludge removal company to unclog the grease traps. In
fact, it’s been three years since they have had to open up the
grease trap in the kitchen area. State Grease-B-Gone drastically reduced
clogging of pipes from
our grease traps.” |
