Housing Authority Can’t Get Enough
Fragrance
Factories |
| |
| The
Dallas Housing Authority—the
largest in the country—has over 5,000 housing units and four main office
buildings in which to serve them. The maintenance staff is responsible for
maintaining a healthy, comfortable environment for the people who work out
of the main offices. |
| |
| The
Problem |
| Over-spray from the aerosol
air fresheners they were using was peeling paint off a metal box in one of
the offices. The thought was, if that’s what the product was doing to
the paint, what is it doing to peoples’ lungs? |
| |
| The
Solution |
| The
staff presented their findings to a State sales associate, who immediately
recommended the Fragrance Factory®
system.
The system releases pure, organic ingredients into the air to break
down and eliminate odors. Fragrance Factories were installed in offices,
restrooms and common areas. |
| |
| The
Results |
| The
Dallas Housing Authority met the Fragrance Factories with
great success. Soon they were in all four office buildings. In
addition to the health benefit of the air-directed fragrance, the
system is more effective at keeping odors at bay. The staff now
has peace of mind knowing that they are not breathing in the
aerosol overspray. In fact, they are so excited about the product
that they have devised a rotation for the 18 available fragrances.
“The
people in the office love them. We carry them as stock items in
Central Storage. I noticed that they don’t mask odors, they
eliminate them. It really works. I’m working on putting out a
fragrance of the month so the people in the office won’t get
used to one smell.
Now they really notice when I switch a fragrance.” |
