| Harvest
Communities and D-Stroy®: Passing State Inspection |
| |
| The
Problem |
| The
sewer treatment plant at the 241-bed Harvest Communities On Airline
nursing home in Houston, Texas, did not pass inspection. There was a high
ammonia count from the constant use of bleach.
Additionally, the drain maintenance product they were using
created a slime in the sewer lines, which caused frequent back ups. They
had to clean the mop sinks once or twice a week because of the clogs. This
required running a snake through the lines to clear them out. |
| |
| The
Solution |
| The
facility was looking for a non-chlorinated product that would not harm the
treatment plant. After consulting a State sales associate, it was
recommended that they use D-Stroy, a non-pathogenic, non-toxic,
non-caustic, odor eliminator and drain maintainer. |
| |
| State's
D-Stroy Drain Maintainer was chosen for: |
- Non-chlorinated,
non-pathogenic, non-toxic, non-caustic properties
- Can
be used in mop water to eliminate odors on floors, then maintains
pipes when disposed down the drains
|
| |
| The
Results |
| D-Stroy
was mixed in with the mop water used to clean the floors
throughout the facility, and disposed of in the housekeeping slop
sinks. As a result of incorporating D-Stroy into the daily
maintenance routine, the facility has almost completely eliminated
the use of bleach.
“There
was a noticeable difference. We have less backups in our
housekeeping closets as a result of D-Stroy.
Between D-Stroy and another State disinfectant cleaner, we
don’t need bleach. And I don’t remember the last time we had
to run a mop sink line to clear the drain.
D-Stroy
has surpassed any other products we’ve used.” |
